NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The Vibe and thevibestream.com officially announced the appointment of longtime community media figure Bud Mench, also known as George Mention, as the new General Manager overseeing the daily operations and continued expansion of the growing multimedia platform.
In his new role, Mench will help guide programming, community partnerships, digital strategy, audience engagement and operational development as The Vibe continues building its presence as Connecticut’s premier bilingual digital radio and media platform.
For years, Mench has been recognized throughout Greater New Haven for his dedication to community media, grassroots storytelling and public engagement. Through his work with Bud Mench Media Group (BMMG), he has helped amplify local voices, support small businesses, spotlight community organizations and keep residents informed on issues impacting neighborhoods across the region.
His experience in media promotion, event coordination, digital publishing and community outreach makes him a natural fit for The Vibe’s mission of creating a platform rooted in culture, information and connection.
